About Barracuda Sub Aqua Club

We are a small, friendly club active weekly for diving adventures. We are based in Blue Circle Club, Magheramourne – just outside Larne.

We regularly dive the Maidens Lighthouses and the associated shipwrecks in the vicinity.

We occasionally organise trips to other locations such as Strangford Lough and Donegal.

    I want to try!

    We’re always on the look-out for new divers! Every wanted to try Scuba but don’t know how? Use our Contact Form here or message us on Facebook!

    We usually run these on a Thursday night in Larne Leisure Centre, and start an Ocean Diver course twice a year. So, if becoming a qualified diver interests you – check when our courses start!

    We’ve hopefully covered some FAQ about the Try-Dive nights here too. Just get in touch if you have any more questions.

    FAQ’s

    Swimwear, T-Shirt, Towel and maybe a bottle of water.

    We must be comfortable wearing the below. (These are similar to the items in brackets for reference!):

    • BCD (Rucksack)
    • Tank
    • Sealed Mask (Snorkel Mask)
    • Mouth Regulator (Snorkel)
    • Fins

    We will have equipment suitable for most sizes and shapes, don’t worry!

    We charge a small fee of £15 to cover all equipment costs and pool hire. We are a volunteer club.

    Usually 7pm to 9pm. This covers all admin, safety briefings and 2 groups of divers, 20/25 mins each.

    If you can swim, you can Scuba dive!

    Scuba Air Compressor

    One of our huge club benefits is free refills on our dedicated club breathing air compressor.

    This Compair triple stage compressor can fill two scuba tanks simultaneously at around ~100L/min. (Around 20 mins for two tanks)

    All rigorously tested and maintained by our team.
